1. Soy consumption and male fertility

A study by Cypriot K., Marchlewicz M. and Wiszniewska B. showed that they are particularly important in menopausal rats and can have a positive effect on a woman's body. There are concerns that the consumption of soy isoflavones may reduce fertility in men and trigger symptoms of gynecomastia. A study conducted by Chopra K., Marchewicz I. and Wisniewka B. has shown that in rats they have a potential effect on fertility and sexual development. However, the fact is that soy iseflavones interact with estrogen receptors, however, it should be noted that the answer to this question is not always the same.

2. Soya has an effect on the thyroid

However, is it possible that soybean consumption can adversely affect the functioning of this organ? The isoflavones present in soybeans can block the activity of thyroxide, a thyroid enzyme that is involved in the synthesis of its hormones. It is worth noting the fact that in order for soy consumption to have any adverse effect on thyroid function, it must be associated with a high intake of anti-nutritive compounds, a syndrome of poor absorption. However, it can impair the function of the immune system, liver problems. For the safety of people with severe thyroid dysfunction, people should always monitor their intakes of thyroid hormones, and the levels of additional nutrients they should consume should be kept in check, there should be intervals between the consumption of soy and the intake.
