How Matcha Affects Your Health

Matcha is becoming more and more popular because of its health-promoting properties, and it can be found even in popular discounts and restaurants, and is increasingly referred to as a superfood, but does it actually have such a beneficial effect on the body?

1. It's a characteristic match

Matcha is one of the species of Japanese green tea (Camellia sinensis). It is sold in powdered form because of the way it is made, which is different from traditional tea brewing. It is made using a special bamboo blend of chasen, which gently breaks the granules to prevent the formation of herbs. This species of green tea is especially valued because of its high antioxidant content, as well as numerous preservative compounds.

2. Matcha contents of health ingredients

Matcha is considered to be one of the healthiest teas in the world. However, its properties may vary mainly due to its high content of bioactive compounds, which make up up as much as 30% of the dry weight of the product. Among the most abundant are polyphenols, which are naturally strong antioxidants. Their action is comparable to that of a good antioxidant of vitamin E or C. However the content of all the health-promoting substances in matcha may vary, depending on external factors such as harvesting time, length of resting time and burning time.

3. Matcha has an effect on your health

Due to its high content of numerous bioactive substances, matcha has many beneficial health properties: antioxidant (I.Sivanesan et al. 2021), anti-inflammatory (J.Zhou et al., 2020), ?? anti-stress (H.P. Devkota et al.; 2021), neuroprotective (H. S. Cho et al.), concentration- and performance-enhancing (J. Kim et al.) insulin sensitivity-boosting (J.? Kochman and al. 2021, stimulating blood vessels (S. J. Kim and al., 2014), health-supporting functions (N. Y. H. et al.). memory-supportive (N. Y. K. and al.; health supporting functions) cognitive and memory-regulating (M. F. Wilbe and Al., 2017), and supporting functioning (F. W. 2020 and 2020).

4. Matcha latte is the recipe

One of the most popular drinks on its basis is matcha latte, which is a simple recipe to make at home. However, it is worth paying attention to the proper steaming temperature. Too hot water can lead to the breakdown of certain substances, such as vitamin C, so it is advisable to steam the tea at 80°C.

Ingredients: matcha tea teaspoon, vegetable drink/cow's milk 1⁄2 cup, ?? xylitol/erythritol/allowed sweetener tablespoon.

6. Matcha's a great addition to the daily menu

Japanese matcha contains high levels of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, particularly type 2 diabetes, and although most of the studies have been done on animal models, the health potential of tea seems to be very high. Regular consumption of matcha can bring benefits to the body and minimize the risk of certain diseases, such as macular degeneration or type-2 diabetes. However, this is mostly due to its high content of catechin, caffeine and other antioxidants.
