How Many Calories Does Pancakes Have?

Flour products, such as pastries, occupy an important place in Polish cuisine. Depending on the farce, they can be eaten as desserts, salt snacks or caloric lunches.

Table of Contents

1. Caloric foods

Both the caloric value and the nutritional value of pastries depend on their composition. Pastries are high-calorie foods. Their caloric content increases with extra fat.

2. Calorie value of the sample types of pancakes (kcal/100 g)

3. High glycemic index

It is a refined flour. It has a high glycemic index (IG = 72). This means that once it reaches the digestive tract, it is quickly digested, and the sugar in it is rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream. As a result, there is a sharp rise in blood glucose levels, which causes a large amount of insulin to be released. However, insulin not only carries glucose to all the cells of the body, but also strengthens the synthesis of the fat tissue, thereby preventing the breakdown of the fatty tissue.

4. It all depends on the flour

The nutritional value of pastry dough and its glycemic index depend on the type of flour used to make it. In order to increase the nutrient value of pastries, refined wheat flour can be substituted with other alternatives.

5. Nutritional value and content of selected vitamins and minerals in 100 g of each type of flour
