How many calories does carp have?

The carp is considered a noble fish, which reigns in many Polish houses mainly at the Christmas table. It has many supporters and opponents alike. All due to the characteristic smell and taste of the freshwater fish.

1. Carp as a high-nutrient fish

Carp is relatively low in calories and at the same time rich in nutrients. It contains a high amount of full-fledged and well-absorbed protein. It is classified as medium-fat fish. It has healthy mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids. The nutritional value of carp varies depending on its origin (food, natural water tanks) and the way it is fed. Carp derived from natural acids in combination with fish are characterized by higher water content and lower protein and fat content.

2. Vitamins supplied by the carp

Carp is a source of group B vitamins. A portion of carp provides: 0.1 mg of vitamins B1 and B2, 2.4 mg of vitamin B3, ?? 0.3 mg of Vitamin B6, 3.2 μg of vitaminB12, 16 μg folic acid. In addition, it also contains small amounts of fat-soluble vitamins such as Vitamin E: 1 mg, vitamin A: 70, 4 μg, ?? vitamin D: 8 μg.

3. Carp as a source of mineral ingredients

Carpeseed meat provides many micro and macro elements: 0.2 mg copper, 1.4 mg zinc, 1.1 mg iron, 16 mg calcium, 619, 2 mg potassium, 19.2 mg magnesium, 2.4 mg iodine, and 48 mg sodium.

4. The health properties of the carp

Carp is a good source of pyridoxine (vitamin B6) and vitamins B3 and B12. It has a beneficial effect on metabolic processes, the functioning of the nervous system and the production of red and white blood cells. The presence of omega-3 fatty acids contributes to the synthesis of neurotransmitters, including serotonin, the hormone of happiness.
