How many calories does cabbage have? Is it a good choice as a natural probiotic?

All of these varieties are well-known, readily available and often used in Polish cuisine.

1. High nutritional value

The following table shows the nutritional value per 100 g of each type of cabbage. About 90% of it is water.

3. The source of vitamin C

Vitamin C is one of the most important antioxidants. It also plays an important role in the prevention of cancer. Cabbage is a rich source of vitamin C. Ascorbic acid boosts immunity, participates in collagen synthesis, and increases iron bioavailability.

4. Minerals contained in the hood

Since heat treatment causes the loss of 5090% of folia, it is advisable to consume cabbage in the form of raw materials. Selenium is involved in the cell's metabolic processes and is responsible for the proper functioning of many enzymes.

5. It affects the bloodstream

In addition, it acts as an anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antibacterial and analgesic agent. Folic acid is involved in the production and development of blood-forming cells. Cabbage, thanks to its vitamin K and folic acid content, has a positive effect on the bloodstream. It also contributes to the formation of bone tissue.

6. Cabbage pickled as a natural probiotic

As a result of soaking, the nutritional value of the cabbage changes, as shown in the table below. During this process, the bacteria convert sugar into lactic acid.
