The following table shows the nutritional value of the popular types of sausages, depending on the raw material used for their production and the technological process.

3. A source of vitamins and minerals

Phosphorus is an element found in many food products. In addition, it is involved in the body's energy and biochemical changes, helps regulate the acid-base economy, and activates some B vitamins. Excess is not harmful if adequate supplies of calcium and vitamin D are ensured.

4. Source of saturated fatty acids

Fats include saturated and unsaturated fatty acids. Excessive intake of these acids is associated with an increased incidence of cardiovascular diseases, including seizures. Therefore, people with dyslipidemia, hypercholesterolemia, heart disease, and overweight or obesity should significantly limit the consumption of these types of products. They provide a large amount of energy and allow for the proper absorption of fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K.
