How many calories does a sandwich have?

Sandwiches are served for both breakfast and dinner. Their nutritional value will depend on the type of baking and the quality of the additives used. Bread or whole-wheat bread, flaxseed and a vegetable supplement in the form of asparagus or peppers can be a model for a nutritious breakfast that will provide energy for the whole day.

1. The nutritional value

A sandwich consisting of bread mixed with sunflower, butter, ham and tomatoes will provide more calcium and phosphorus and fats. Regardless of the type of ingredients, the energy content is mostly carbohydrates, of which 2.72 g is dietary fiber. The sandwich is a good source of potassium, phosphorous and vitamin A. It should be noted that, for example, bread with pasta from mackerel and turmeric will provide a higher amount of calcium as well as phosphore and fat. Attention should be paid to the sodium content. 2. Healthy additives

For example, peppers and tomatoes are good sources of vitamins A, E and C. In addition, they contain valuable dietary fiber, which gives a feeling of satiety, prevents fluctuations in glycemia, and reduces the likelihood of developing cancers of the digestive system. These nutrient-dense foods provide not only magnesium from the B group, but also phosphorus, as well as essential oils and fats and proteins, which are used to treat bone marrow disease and to reduce the risk of osteoporosis.

3. Other meat offal

Many sandwiches use ready-made sauces. While ketchup (of course the good one) is acceptable because of its high content of lycopene, which can protect against cardiovascular disease, mayonnaise sauces should be avoided. Most often these are made from palm oil with a high sugar content or glucose-fructose syrup, which negatively affects blood sugar levels. As a result, it can contribute to type 2 diabetes.

4. Calorie count

Sandwiches can be served both cold and hot. Most often baked with butter and coated with butter, cheese and vegetables on top. 1 sandwich of butter, butter and tomatoes (100 g) = 158 kcal1 sandwich of cheese, ham, salad, cucumber and tomato (100g) = 226 kcal2 sandwich of oil, white cheese and jam (100 g), = 208 kcal.
