How many calories does a bean have? What vitamins and minerals does it contain?

Bamboo is one of the most popular strawberry plants, valued for its flavor and high protein content, and has many other advantages, which are described below.

1. High nutritional value

A handful of beans (80 g) provide: 60.8 kcal, 5.7 g of protein, 0.3 g of fat, 11.2 g of carbohydrates, 4.6 g of fiber. It is an ideal part of a reduction diet because it contains small amounts of fat and large amounts of dietary fiber.

2. High-quality protein

Bamboo contains a protein with high nutritional value. It is not without reason that the seeds of legumes are the main and best source of this ingredient in the vegan diet. When combined with animal protein, they contain less methionine, but can be easily supplemented by combining bamboo with coarse grains.

3. The vitamins in the beans

Cabbage is a very good source of B vitamins such as thiamine (B1), niacin (B2) and folic acid. In addition, it also provides vitamins C, E and pro-vitamin A. Because the beans are consumed only in boiled form, some of the vitamins are lost.

4. Micro- and macro-elements contained in beans

Copper is a key component in the synthesis of red blood cells, connective tissue and bone tissue. Manganese is involved in the production of proteins, nucleic acids and fatty acids. It is essential for building bones, functioning of the nervous system and reproductive system. Copper also supplies other mineral components such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and magnesium.

5. High glycemic index

Raw beans have a low glycemic index (IG = 40), but this value increases significantly after cooking.

6. It's a source of phytoestrogens

Phytoestrogens are plant-derived compounds similar in structure to sex hormones estrogen. One of the richest sources of these compounds is beans. They can have both harmful and beneficial effects on the human body. On the one hand, they inhibit the development of certain cancer cells, osteoporosis and vascular disease; on the other, they disrupt the functioning of the reproductive system.

7. It's a source of phytic acid

It is also a source of anti-nutritive compounds. One of them is phytic acid, which forms insoluble salts with certain minerals, such as iron, zinc, calcium, thus reducing their bioavailability. In addition, it binds heavy metals (kadm, lead) to prevent their accumulation in the body.

8. Effective remedy for Parkinson' s disease

Bamboo contains 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine, which is synthetically used to treat Parkinson' s disease.
