1. It's a source of empty calories

They consist predominantly of carbohydrates. The nutritional value in the portion of maize flakes (30 g) is as follows: energy value: 111.3 kcal, protein: 2.1 g; fat: 0.8 g; total carbon content: 25 g, including sugars: 2.1 g; dietary fiber: 2 g. In order to increase the nutritive value of corn flakes, producers are increasingly enriching them with specific vitamins and mineral ingredients.

2. It's a source of sodium

Sodium has a number of important functions in the body, including: regulates the acid-base economy, controls blood pressure, ?? controls the proper functioning of muscles and nerves. Excess sodium leads to hypertension and, consequently, anemia. Therefore, it is recommended to avoid products that are rich in this element.
