1. Highly processed food

4. The source of the salt

Excess sodium chloride in the diet increases the risk of developing, among other things, hypertension, heart failure, stomach cancer, kidney stones, and osteoporosis. Regularly reaching for salt snacks such as chips can contribute to excessive salt intake.

5. The source of acrylamide

In the food industry, it is the chips that contain the most from 50 to up to 3500 μg/kg. It is also mutagenic and toxic to the human nervous system. Acrylamide is a compound produced during the heat treatment of high-carbohydrate foods (frying, baking). It has potential carcinogenic properties.
