Herbal medicine for diseases of the digestive system

Man, living in the midst of nature, has always benefited from its benefits. The primitive people, who worked mainly in harvesting, not only satisfied their hunger, but also knew the world of plants in terms of their properties. It is not known today that the development of medicine is based precisely on the method of trial and error. Man observed animals and their behaviour towards plants and tested their actions on his own skin, gained knowledge of their healthful and lasting qualities. As we gained more experience, our knowledge of the properties of the flora was born.

1. The history of herbal medicine

The earliest information about herbal medicinal uses dates back to ancient Egypt, where the first medicinal plants were cultivated, including lnu, ricinus, and ginger, cinnamon, and ginseng. In India, knowledge of the use of ginger and cinnamon comes from the ancient Egyptians. The Greeks discovered the poisonous properties of beluga, pulp, and maple, and in Rome, the famous Galen systematized knowledge of herbs and herbs.

2. Today's herbal medicine (herbs and synthetic medicines)

What exactly is herbal medicine? Herbal medicine, also called phytotherapy, is one of the branches of alternative medicine. It is the field of knowledge that deals with the use of herbal preparations in the fight against many disease units. Phythotherapy is a body of knowledge about the medicinal properties of the active substances contained in plants, their effects on living organisms, and the interactions between synthetic medicines and herbal products. The early 19th century also saw the rapid development of pharmaceutical chemicals, which only proved to be inadequate for medicinal products such as herbal medicines or newly developed pharmaceuticals.

3. The use of herbs in the treatment of diseases of the digestive system

There are about 230 species of plants recognized as medicinal in Poland. The criterion that determines this is the presence of active substances that undoubtedly affect human physiology. These are: mucus and rubber, glycosides, ?? alkaloids,?? garlic, essential oils, ¢ flavonoids, ‡ heat, ̊ anthrax, ‬ phenols, ̋ coumarines, ̨ organic acids, saponins. In addition, herbs provide many vitamins and microelements such as potassium, zinc, iron, magnesium, copper, calcium and many other concentrated compounds.

It consists of the essential oils eugenol and 1,8-cyneol, by which basil is shown to inhibit intestinal contractions.

5. It's the common room

It is used not only in the kitchen but also to treat or alleviate indigestion, cramping, nausea or other gastrointestinal ailments.

Recommended for severe indigestion, cramping and swelling all thanks to the ability to inhibit the motor motor of the stomach and intestines.

It contains, among other things, formic acid, mineral salts, carotene, C and K, and a lot of chlorophyll. It accelerates the digestion of fatty foods, acts as a jaundice, and reduces blood sugar levels. It is widely used to purify blood, including cholesterol.

Unfortunately, we cannot approach herbal medicine without being critical. The use of plants in medicine has many benefits, but we cannot forget the drawbacks. Not all medical conditions can be treated with herbs. Just as synthetic herbal medicines have their bad and good sides, we must also keep in mind that they can cause mild side effects such as headaches, allergic reactions, but also exhibit toxic toxins, non-toxic toxins that lead to organ damage, and.
