1. What is fucoxanthin?
The literal translation of the name fukoxanthin means yellowish-brown, which in some ways explains what this organic chemical actually is. It turns out that fukooxanthin is a xanthophyl, a natural dye found in seaweed, where it gives a dark red, bordel or brown color. This substance, which belongs to the group of carotenoids, combined with naturally occurring chlorophyll, gives the organism a brownish color, which is, however, a conditional amount of green color.2. It's in the works
However, there is a certain thesis about the mechanism of action of fucnoxanthin, which is based on increased expression of fats. However, it is increasingly found in the composition of preparations aimed at intensifying the process of fat burning. It is also frequently suggested that this brown colour is particularly effective in the fat-burning process. What is the real phenomenon of this substance?3. Opinion of the European Parliament and of the Council
Looking for empirical evidence of the effectiveness of fucoxanthin, you can find several scientific trials that have been largely conducted in animals. However, in 2010 a scientific analysis of 151 pre-menopausal women gave a slightly different light on the effects of this plant dye. So a sixteen-week experiment proved that using a dose of 2.4 mg in combination with 0.3 g of pomegranate oil contributed to a significant increase in fat burning and energy expenditure.
