During exercise, for example, when you run, most of the blood is also pumped from the kidneys, liver and other leg organs where it's most needed.

3. What to eat before training?

About 23 hours before training, a mixed meal containing each of the nutrients should be eaten. A meal should be high in carbohydrates because they can prolong the duration of training. Currently, in the diet of athletes, the greatest emphasis is on the consumption of an adequate amount of carbs and protein. Keep in mind that oxidation of fatty acids is optimal with moderate physical activity (about 60% of VO2 max), then significantly decreases, which is why physical exertion with a higher amount of exercise is also an additional energy source.

4. What's not to eat before training?

People who want to exercise should avoid fried foods before exercising. Also not recommended are products that cause bloating, such as cabbage, beans, peas and other seeds of legumes. It is not recommended to eat food before exercise, which can get stuck in the stomach. The body must be able to digest food before taking up activity, because otherwise we may feel uncomfortable. However, keep in mind that this is also associated with individual predispositions.

5. Is this the right time to eat a pre-workout meal?

It is ideal to eat a meal 23 hours before exercise. You should not eat carbohydrate-rich meals about 3045 minutes before exercise, as this is associated with insulin release. With insulin rising, blood sugar levels will drop, which can weaken the body. However, if someone is waiting for a heavy workout, it is worth eating carbs just before or during exercise. Physical exercise can inhibit insulin production, and muscle activity without it increases the muscle glucose transport.
