Foils action, sources in the diet, effects of deficiency, supplementation

Folic acid and folate have the same biological activity, whereas folate naturally found in food is less stable than pure synthetic folic acid. What are their sources in the diet? Does everyone need supplementation? They occur naturally and are a natural source of vitamin B9 essential for proper functioning of the body.

1. The foil's working

In the body, the active form of folia is tetrahydrofolic acid, which, as a biologically active compound, has a direct and indirect effect on cell metabolism. Folia are involved, among other things: in the synthesis of nucleic acids, proteins and amino acid conversions, ?? in the hydroxylation of long-chain fatty acids and in the regulation of homocyanin concentrations in the blood by participating in its metabolism, their folia, together with vitamin B12, play a significant role in the metabolism of the amino acid homocysteine to the metabolic acid methionine. They play a key role in regulating the functioning of the body through the formation of fatty acid sequences, which are important in the development of nerve tissue, and are also important for the growth of all tissues in the body.

2. Folic acid is a dietary source

Low amounts of folia also contain eggs (mainly yolk), soft maturing cheeses (camembert, brie), hard maturing and hard-boiled cheeses, fermented dairy products (yogurt, butter), as well as fish (the highest folia content of all fish is salmon). Folia should be supplied mainly in the daily diet, but it should be noted that in food there is usually an unstable form of man-made folia in the synthetic product.

3. Folies need

The need for folic acid depends on age and physiological status. The bioavailability of folics is also important, which is influenced by many factors: the form of folia in the diet, types of products (natural, synthetic), preparation of products containing folia (raw, cooked), ?? digestion and absorption, ?? medicines,?? uses (alcohol, tobacco). If a varied and appropriately balanced diet is taken into account, it is possible to cover the need for B9.

4. Folia Causes and effects of deficiency

This is mainly observed in pregnant women, premature babies and infants with low birth weight, elderly people and girls of childbearing age. If the diet provides adequate folia but insufficient vitamin B12, folia deficiency symptoms may still occur. Folia stored in the breast tissue is about 510 mg about half of the symptoms in the liver alone. Causes of folic acid deficiency: reduced intake with the uterus, increased memory requirements (e.g. in infancy, in pregnancy, during lactation), as a result of the development of new blood cells (i.e. cerebrospinal fluid), increased blood pressure, increased blood sugar levels, and other neurodegenerative disorders, such as hypertension, hypertension and neurodevelopmental diseases, and can lead to a decrease in the number of neurological problems (e

5. Folies Supplementation

According to the recommendations of the Polish Association of Gynecologists and Obstetricians, women of reproductive age should consume natural products rich in folate and fortified foods (i.e. fortified with this ingredient). This is particularly important during the period of about 3 months before pregnancy and should be continued throughout pregnancy, pregnancy and lactation. Supplementation should be individually adjusted.
