Dühring's disease is another form of celiac disease

The only effective treatment for celiac disease is a lifelong strict gluten-free diet. In recent years, there has been an increase in knowledge about the course of Celiac Disease and how to treat it. However, not everyone knows that it is not the only disease associated with an abnormal response to gluten.

1. Düring's disease is defined

Duhring's disease can be diagnosed at any stage of life, but most commonly affects children and young people, rarely adults and the elderly. It was first described in the late 19th century. Duhrings disease, like celiac disease, has an autoimmune background. It also often occurs with other diseases associated with autoaggression, such as rheumatoid arthritis, type 1 diabetes or Hashimoto's Disease. Men are more prone to it than women.

2. Düring's disease is a symptom

Changes are rather minor, extensive blisters are rarely observed. Additionally, patients experience changes in the intestines associated with gluten intake. A major symptom of acute skin inflammation is the presence of patches, clots, or bubbles on the skin's surface that itch and sometimes also cause painful discomfort. They are located symmetrically most often on the forehead, elbows, knees, but also around the buttocks, lower back, shoulders, and scalp.

In many cases, the introduction of an appropriate dietary model will allow for adequate remission. This means a complete discontinuation of dietary foods based on psoriasis, wheat, salt, and salt (though the dietary diet also contains a higher amount of salt, as salt is naturally present in the diet, and in Poland, salt is often added to other foodstuffs without the use of salt or salt, so it may not be used in a single foodstuff and as a dietary supplement).
