Poland is one of the largest exporters of strawberries in Europe... these sweet red fruits are known not only for their richness in vitamins and minerals, but also for their low calorie content.

1. Who's the one with the crumbs?

Strawberries are recommended for people who are at risk of stress, with reduced immunity, or who want to lose unnecessary pounds. Strawbers may prevent inflammatory conditions in the body and oxidative stress. It is recommended for obese people and patients with cardiological disorders. Eating strawberries may protect against various types of cancer. Positive aspects of eating these fruits have been observed in people with neurodegenerative diseases.

2. Vitamins and macronutrients in strawberries

These fruits are a valuable source of vitamin C (66 mg 110% of the average daily intake for women and 88% for men), beta-carotene, folate, threonine or leucine. They are also excellent for hydration, as they are more than 90% water.

3. Who's dangerous to you?

Strawberries may exhibit allergic properties. Special attention should be paid to their consumption by those who are hypersensitive to histamine. Due to the high content of this ingredient, strawberries can cause allergy symptoms such as skin rash or diarrhea. In the event of an acute reaction, swelling of the upper gastrointestinal tract and breathing disorders may occur.

4. It's a health thing to do

An analysis conducted in 2019 suggests that eating strawberries may help improve the outcomes of treating inflammatory bowel disease. Other studies confirm that the compounds found in straws affect lipid metabolism (reduce triglycerides and LDL cholesterol) and enhance antioxidant activity in patients with liver cancer, improving their prognosis.

5. Applications

Peas are great for cocktails, fruit soup, cakes, ice cream, sorbetes, jams, as well as nutritious dishes, e.g. As a meat sauce. The tastiest national fruits are available at the turn of spring and summer. Peas can be frozen, so you can enjoy their flavor throughout the year.
