2. Preferences for a comfortable meal

Parents, grandparents, or other people close to us offered us specific foods when we felt bad, were sick, or were sad as children. So for every comfort food, it could be a completely different product or food. In 2000, a survey of comfort food was conducted. It involved more than 1,000 North American people. The most mood-enhancing products were: potato chips (24%), ice cream (14%), cake (12%), pizza and pizza (11%), beef steak (9%), beef/beef cereal (9%), fat/fat cereal products (97%), sugar (4%). The study also found that the differences between eating and drinking were significantly higher than those between men and women (77%). In 2003 (77%) and 2003, (777%), women (67%), men (776%), women (77%, women (74%), and women (67%) were considered to be the most successful candidates in the study.

3. Which is why food has the power to comfort

It's hard to find a common feature of products considered comfortable because people identify food products differently in different situations. For each comfort food can be something completely different. So it's difficult to find one taste, smell or consistency of food that would fit all the products or foods referred to as comfort food. Certainly an important feature of food is its appearance.

4. When the food is considered comfortable

For every person, it's going to be more important to feel better, which in turn explains why there isn't one specific food, known as comfort food. A person who's not stressed, with a sense of self-esteem, or with a healthy sense of food, will be able to appreciate the quality of their food, which is the most important interpretation of it.

5. Summary

The idea that comfort food must be sweet, salty, fatty and calorific is not always true because each person perceives comfort food differently. There do not seem to be any specific sensory characteristics that characterize these foods. Food products are considered comforting because they are associated with positive situations, places, or people from the past.
