Combucha, or tea mushroom

Drinking fermented tea may not only seem unusual, but it's just tasteless and unhealthy -- nothing more misleading than that.

Table of Contents

1. A few words about the combo

It is a gelatinous organism. It is produced by the fermentation process of sweetened tea, and its colour varies from light gray to even dark brown. The resulting beverage, which is very often referred to as the "elixir of life" or "panaseum for all diseases", has a sweet taste and melts gently.

2. Tea from mushrooms

Among the substances that can be found in the composition of Japanese mushrooms are B-vitamins, vitamin C, acetic acid and glucuronic acid, and elements such as zinc, magnesium, copper, calcium or iron. A major advantage of combustion is that it is considered to be a fungal-dependent substance. This means that the body's ability to adapt the fungus to the needs of the body can lead to increased sensitivity and resistance to these diseases.

3. Advice for use

The tea mushroom should be properly prepared for consumption. The environment in which it develops should be cleaned beforehand and the cup should be fermented for less than a week. Giving a poorly prepared drink carries the risk of not only poisoning but even death. When the drink is properly prepared and we decide to consume it, it is recommended not to drink more than 125 ml of liquid during the day. This dose is safe and at present there are no reliable studies that could confirm the effectiveness of other servings.
