Chewing is one of the oldest methods of preserving food. This process involves the use of milk fermentation, which is carried out by lactic acid bacteria. Most often cucumbers and cabbage are chewed, but you can also use other vegetables and fruits, such as beans, pumpkins and apples.

1. Chewing is a method of preserving food

It is a complex chemical process that involves the conversion of carbohydrates into lactic acid and other products such as acetic acid and carbon dioxide. In order to achieve this conversion, it is necessary to have the presence of commonly occurring lactic-acid bacteria in the environment. Milk fermentation is used not only in the food industry, but also in cosmetics, chemicals and pharmaceuticals. Its main advantage is that it can be used before extending the usefulness of the product for consumption.

2. What kind of products can you kiss?

In fact, most vegetables and fruits can be fermented. In Poland, the most popular are pickled cucumbers and cabbage. More and more often, however, you can see in stores other pickled fruits and vegetables, such as apples, peas, morels, peppers, cinnamon, cauliflower, beetroot, cucumber, lemons. When choosing pickling products, keep in mind that this process leads to softening of the food, so it is better to choose the hard ones. In addition, the food must be ripe and fresh.

3. Citrine has anti-inflammatory properties

Fresh fruits and vegetables are very often referred to as natural probiotics. Fresh organisms from these preparations are appropriately selected and their action has been enhanced. In the case of lactic acid bacteria belonging to the genus Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. The fact is that they can have a beneficial effect on the human body, but it should be borne in mind that their action is not the same as that of probiotic strains.

4. The chickens, you make them yourself

Ingredients: apples 4 pieces, boiled water 2 glasses, salt 3⁄4 tablespoons, sugar 1 teaspoon, cloves three pieces. How to prepare1. Wash the apples and cut them into 4 parts. 2. Mix the water thoroughly with salt and sugar. 3. Place the apple in a jar, add the gels and pour the water. 4. Store the mixture at room temperature.

5. Fresh or chilled beans

Ingredients: beans 5 pieces, boiling, condensed water 11⁄2 glasses, ?? salt 1⁄2 teaspoon, black pepper, grains 2 pieces,?? garlic two toothpastes.

6. The rules for making biscuits

1. Choose fresh vegetables and fruits. The time between harvest and soaking should be as short as possible. 2. Wash vegetables or fruits thoroughly because the micro-organisms present on them can interfere with the fermentation process. 3. Choose glass jars, possibly stone jars for soaking. 4. In the case of stone dishes, the processed product should be carefully covered with a loaded jar or bottle of water and then covered by a towel or towel.
