Causes of reduction failure

Anyone who's tried to lose weight at least once knows that it's a difficult and demanding process. Weight loss is often associated with rejection and restrictions, as well as hours spent in the kitchen.

Table of Contents

1. There are too many restrictions

The introduction of excessive restrictions can be a cause of reduction failures. This is caused by the so-called weight loss cycle. Weight loss sufferers often give up foods that are labeled as prohibited, which makes their minds focus on those products. When they are tired or stressed, they do not follow dietary guidelines and eat (often in excess) their favorite products that they have previously given up. This causes a feeling of guilt and leads to another similarly restrictive weight loss attempt.

2. It's all or nothing

Many people who start losing weight try to follow a 100% diet and exercise program, and if they get exhausted or have unplanned events that prevent them from doing so, they get the feeling that they've lost everything. This leads to giving up on all decisions. This is accompanied by the belief that all the weight loss efforts are worthless, and that weight loss will have to start all over again. The result is a return to all weight loss habits.

3. Last supper syndrome

Weight loss is associated with dietary changes, which often involve giving up favorite foods. Many people, before they start working on their dream figure, want to indulge in their favorite delicacies, so they empty their kitchen cabinets. A one-time feast will not result in weight gain, but if the diet is started every week, it can be a cause of weight loss problems.

4. It's not the right time to lose weight

I want to be able to say this is a phrase that's often repeated, but is it really true? The success of reduction depends not on motivation, but on the amount of responsibility and burden. When the decision to lose weight is made during an intense period at work, a child's illness or personal problems, it's highly likely that it won't last long. The cause is the exhaustion of the psychoenergy pool, the individual's energy that is consumed throughout the day for various activities, from making coffee to completing a project at work. When a situation absorbs one's thoughts and requires a lot of effort, there is a greater consumption of the resources that are necessary to persevere on die.

5. It's too low in calories

Too low a calorie diet is one of the most common causes of weight loss failure. Many people want to get results in the shortest time possible, they decide to eat small amounts of food.

6. How to start losing weight to avoid failure

Changing your eating habits should start with small steps, it's not worth giving up all your old habits right away. The more restrictions and changes you put in at the same time, the less likely you are to stick with them for longer. The most effective way to change your dietary habits is to gradually introduce a new routine, and only later get used to the previous unfavorable behaviors.

7. How to effectively change your eating habits and lose weight

To change your eating habits and lose weight effectively, you should start with small steps that will be the easiest to follow.

8. Eating vegetables

Putting a handful of roses, tomatoes or cucumbers on a plate, throwing some spinach in a cocktail, cooking vegetable soup.

9. Drinking water

Putting a glass of water on a nightstand and drinking it after waking up, pouring a cup of water for each meal, getting an application that reminds you of drinking water, regularly increasing the amount of water you drink (every few days).

10. Regular physical activity

Going shopping on foot or on a bike, picking up a store that's farther away from home, choosing stairs instead of elevators, sitting on a ball instead of a couch while watching a TV show, stretching out for 10 minutes right after waking up.

11. It's eating breakfast

Preparing products or meals in the eveningEating breakfast on the way to workGrowing vegetables and fruits for a few days and storing them in the refrigerator The key to a successful reduction is a reasonable approach. Changing dietary habits and increasing physical activity should be introduced gradually. Excessive restrictions, restrictions and withdrawal from favorite products can lead to another failed weight loss attempt.
