The use of a diet rich in antioxidants has a beneficial effect on the eye and protects against free radicals. This is due to high exposure to high-energy light and oxygen consumption.

2. Nutrients that support the visual system

Another essential nutrient for the eyes is vitamin A. It also affects the functioning of the retinal photoreceptors responsible for daytime and nighttime vision. Alongside vitamin A, vitamin C plays an important role, which is essential for the synthesis of collagen, which stabilizes blood vessels. As the eye ages, there are changes in free radicals in the lens, which cause loss of transparency inflammation.
