1. How food affects memory

A diet rich in saturated fatty acids of animal origin, trans fats or refined sugar will generate an inflammatory state that causes damage to nerve cells and impairs the flow of signals between neurons. Neural connections cannot work efficiently, resulting in a slower transmission of information. Unfortunately, inflammation contributes to their disorder. These substances are found in vegetables and fruits, vegetable oils, nuts, pests, seeds, fish, coffee, cocoa beans.

2. Memory-supporting products

This article describes specific foods with scientifically proven effects, including B vitamins, magnesium, other vitamins and minerals, mono and polyunsaturated fatty acids, and numerous antioxidants.

3. Italian walnuts

They exhibit anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, thus helping to reduce the risk of many diseases. In 2014, a study observed the effects of long-term nut consumption in older women. A group of women who ate five or more servings of nuts per week compared to a group who did not eat them at all improved cognitive functions of the brain (J. Similarly, a Spanish study of people who ate a Mediterranean diet with an extra 30 grams of nut daily intake (including 15 Italian nuts) also showed that nuts relied on the same nutrients to improve their cognitive function and improve their memory).
